i have never been one to have school spirit....at all. ive never been like anti school spirit but i was always the chick that brought a carton of chinese food to the games and sat with no idea what was going on. (true story)
Well, I dont know what happened to me. Something about Senior year has all of a sudden brought the 'wildcat' out of me.
I have been to every football game so far this year.
Not just gone but joined in the insane (no seriously) INSANE student section we call the 'gold rush' that screams, sings, jumps and dances the whole game. Sitting? being quiet? not an option.
My friends have joined me in this sudden change...
We bleed blue and gold...wow i cant believe i just said that.
We had the big required school pep rally a week ago...i hosted it with my friend Teeps. Yea, hosted it. Meaning i ran the entire pep rally...being peppy...in front of 5,000+ students and faculty.
Up there is a pic of me and Teeps getting everything set up before the pep rally started. The only thing crazier than hosting the pep rally. Was enjoying it...and getting into it. I am all of a sudden Miss Superfan? Okay. I can dig that.
Here's a pic of me with my friend who is the school mascot.
I am now not only participating in cheer sections but i know the stats of every single team at my school.
Well, i mean its my last year. I'm gonna suck out all the opportunities i can.
Here is me and my friend Lo with our 'blue and gold displayed with pride'
i know school spirit doesnt seem like that big of a thing but it is just an example of how i am using this year to just experience everything i can.
i know high school graduation ends an era of my life and starts a whole new world. not that big of a deal to people who have been through it but to me it seems huge. Im seeing everything as the last time i can do this and therefore seriously a day has not gone by this school year that i havent done something 'out of character' or memorable or something. Which makes me think...why didnt i do this before? Well, better late than never.

"And all the time the joke is that the word 'mine' in its fully possessive sense cannot be uttered by a human being about anything. In the long run either our Father or the Enemy will say 'mine' of each thing that exists, and specifically of each man. They will find out in the end, never fear, to whom their time, their souls, and their bodies really belong - certainly not to them, whatever happens"
- C.S. Lewis, Screwtape Letters
"The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart"
- Elizabeth Foley
"Its today!" squeaked Piglet,
"My favorite day," said Pooh
"The clouds above us join and separate,
the breeze in the courtyard leaves and returns.
Life is like that, so why not relax?
Who can stop us from celebrating?"
