My brain on Twilight

Well. I just finished rereading the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer...again. And i feel like one of those public service announcements thats all 'This Is Your Brain On Twilight' and you can see its just 'sploded.

Ive been a fan for a while. Freaked out on the phone with friends when the movie was announced. Frantically tried to buy tickets as every show was sold out for the Stephenie Meyer tour. Well. I have finally been rewarded for my efforts...my favorite place in the world, Anderson's Bookshop, the same place that brought my previously blogged about Harry Potter midnight release party, is having a Breaking Dawn midnight release party and for book releases I am...
NUMBER FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was at the store when the tickets were officially going on sale and landed an impressive #5 spot as opposed to my embarrassing #1098 spot for Harry Potter 7 (but still good considering the +3000 line). And Im officially in a good mood for the rest of the week.

I strongly encourage a series reread for those who need it before 8.2.08. AND a trip to Barnes and Noble to read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn thats in the back of the Eclipse Special Edition books...ya know. if you want to be dazzled some more.

Happy Twilighting!

Oh and watch for the Entertainment Weekly coming out TOMORROW. sigh.

I listened to the audio books during my work commute and just finished Eclipse. Pretty good timing, given that the new one is 21 days off. The books were pretty sweet.

Hold on a second, D has audiobooked it? hmmmm......did R read it/listen to it?

I passed by it at the bookstore today, twice...but sis, I just couldn't do it. I am not ready. I got NINETEEN MINUTES instead.

R read Twilight first, and she gave me the "thumbs up" to go ahead and read it.

I have to admit, the books could have been a lot shorter if the countless "relationship chats" between the principals were condensed. That aspect nearly drove me batty.

Get it? Batty
(there are no bats in the book)

I started reading it to see what all the fuss was about, and I finished reading it because I thought it was pretty good.

I'm glad I read it before I saw the movie posters. That guy playing Edward doesn't really do it for me.

I liked 19 minutes more than Sister's keeper.

Number 5! Yikes! Awesome!

Actor Edward looks much better in the movie preview than he does on this magazine cover.

I am jealous! I have yet to pre-order mine.

"And all the time the joke is that the word 'mine' in its fully possessive sense cannot be uttered by a human being about anything. In the long run either our Father or the Enemy will say 'mine' of each thing that exists, and specifically of each man. They will find out in the end, never fear, to whom their time, their souls, and their bodies really belong - certainly not to them, whatever happens"
- C.S. Lewis, Screwtape Letters

"The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart"
- Elizabeth Foley

"Its today!" squeaked Piglet,
"My favorite day," said Pooh

"The clouds above us join and separate,
the breeze in the courtyard leaves and returns.
Life is like that, so why not relax?
Who can stop us from celebrating?"
