Excuses...

Im just full of excuses. I did not attend The Rescue on Saturday. I reeeaaalllyyy wanted to but I had to make a smart decision and so here are my excuses...

Friday night we took our last weekend together and went camping in the canyon but we didnt have a tent...
There was also lack of a sleeping bag. (this picture is deceiving. i did not sleep on pavement haha) but it was a pretty rough night...
And we woke up to something falling on us. Yep, Saturday it was snowing...
And so I ended up a little like this...
In preparation for my finals week I thought another night on the ground in snowing streets would be detrimental to my health and grades.

4 of my friends still did attend and said it was an amazing experience. They were in fact rescued by our governor from their "captivity" in portraying the role of the child soldiers in Uganda. They took some really cool pictures but this one was my favorite...
I still donated some money to the event and supported my friends. :/ next time I guess.
Btw: 76,570 people participated in 100 cities so thats cool!!

Now, off to my last 3 days of school...

So cool!

"And all the time the joke is that the word 'mine' in its fully possessive sense cannot be uttered by a human being about anything. In the long run either our Father or the Enemy will say 'mine' of each thing that exists, and specifically of each man. They will find out in the end, never fear, to whom their time, their souls, and their bodies really belong - certainly not to them, whatever happens"
- C.S. Lewis, Screwtape Letters

"The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart"

"Its today!" squeaked Piglet,
"My favorite day," said Pooh

"The clouds above us join and separate,
the breeze in the courtyard leaves and returns.
Life is like that, so why not relax?
Who can stop us from celebrating?"
